2nd book hard going in places and surprised by how ended

Finished the first book which I enjoyed, finding the beginning of the second a little slow

Wow I am so pleased I wasn't an adult during the period of Jennifer's story her story is is so sad I find it amazing that men treated women in such a way once they married them I am intrigued it find out how Ellie's story ties in

I love the way Karen can pull you straight into a story I am already attached to Daphne & Lana

Jesse is descriptive author which means I am struggling with to connect to Megan, Ethan & and Captain Shelby I am finding I need to read some parts several times to enable me to follow the story. That said once I have managed to cut through the descriptions to get to the story I actually can say it is an interesting read so I am going to persevere

The trial has just started & I can't see how Daniel will get a not guilty result everything is stacking up against him, will he be condemned,will Shem finally claim his ultimate prize Anne, the plot thickens & for once I can't begin to guess the ending. I know what I would like to happen but at the moment I can't see it happening!

This book is addictive, it is really difficult to put down to do all the things I should be doing. Even though Shem has turned out the way he has I really feel for him & his inability to relate to others in a "normal" way his whole life has been shaped by his excuse of a mother! I'm not sure about my feelings for Annie at the moment I am not sure I like her at all. I can see why Daniel is struggling

Wow this book hooked me straight away. I must admit that I got a surprise a third of the way through when things started to fall into place. A modern day fable which is full of all the ways I would would like us all to embrace a great read for the young to learn from & for the more mature to be reminded of the values we would like to achieve

I am struggling to connect with the characters due to the book flitting about so much but I will persevere as I am I entreeged at how the author will pull it all together as it also seems to be disjointed

Wow loved this book

I am already emotionally attached to Holly and am enjoying her story
