It's aight. It doesn't seem like a literary masterpiece, but it's an interesting way to explore the theme of the possibilities of life.

My one worry was that this book offered nothing new for me personally because I was already somewhat acquainted with mindfulness. Fortunately, it definitely does offer something new specifically with regard to it's discussion of Buddhist philosophy and the connection to mindfulness which exists there.

I was worried it was going to be a rather cliche self help book, but for the most part it remains focused on its Buddhist/Mindfulness foundation that it serves as a good resource for psychological wellbeing. My only reservation is that I'm not sure it offers much new that I hadn't heard before.

So good. Sometimes I don't necessarily agree with everything but still really good and really important.

However, he makes a sort of naïve claim about states when he argued against defense. Any political science student will tell you the first need of a state is to protect its people. This doesn't necessarily mean a military, but it does mean some form of security.

Nietzsche refuses to be a man of little words which is unfortunate because it would behoove him greatly to do so. His view of truth is clouded by the fact that he thinks truth is difficult to arrive at and so he perhaps obfuscates it in order to make it make more sense to him when really he is saying nothing. His politics seem in the right sphere though, power should not be above truth.

It's kinda boring so far. The writing is okay but I'm just not that interested in the story.
