Wait why is he confused he wanted Tilly from the start? It feels like the author forgot the beginning of the book because he was down bad and he knew it.

He literally did talk to her about his concerns and she brushed him off!! Even said it wasn’t right of him to ruin her club to get revenge on his brother (which hard side eyeing calling it revenge when his brother may have killed their other brother and is actively plotting further deaths in the family)

“She wanted him to talk to her. To confide in her.”

She proceeds to immediately shut down him confiding in her by saying he has it all wrong about HIS FAMILY.

When men were talking about not bothering the women because they wouldn’t understand, Tilly was who they were talking about.

Never has my interest in a book fell as rapidly in the last 20 percent as it has in this one.

Claire doesn’t have her phone ?? Her dad does so the phone going to the other house is weird because he’s back home. Unless someone took it from him or Claire picked it up from their dad

Did we just get The Villain Explains Their Evil Plan trope thrown at us at 37%? I fully question what is happening moving forward because it doesn’t seem like there’s much to uncover at a later date now.

I understand there’s a limitation with books vs shows in emotional portrayals but I the Postman out loud saying “where are they?” and then acknowledging that he said that out loud with no one around to hear him because he works alone is giving kid in junior high who gets angry and starts growling vibes. It’s cringe.
