I'm really glad I went for the audiobook version of this because I'm pretty damn sure it doesn't work unless it's read in a broad Yorkshire accent:

No. No no no. I don't care what it tastes like. I want to know how these people went about the business of milking a polar bear and emerged intact enough to drink the stuff. YOU CAN'T NOT TELL ME THIS.

I am going to like this book. Oh yes. This book and I. We are going to get along.

I want you to know that I am already hate reading this book.

This chapter seems to treat pregnant women as soulless incubators which is putting me off a tad. Treating mental illness in pregnancy - bad because effects on the foetus! Not treating bad because other effects on the foetus! Hang on - doesn't the possibility that the mother's life might become unbearable if she's deprived of all treatment enter into this at all?
