WHHHYYYY!?!? I just cannot get into this! Too much chemistry that is over my head, and I just don’t know what else my problem is with it. I’ve only heard rave reviews but it’s just not doing it for me.

I cannot get into this book. It started off promising but I think the problem is that it’s all describing the story and not telling me it? I want dialogue and relationships and I feel like it’s all just description of those things.

How aliens can be cute I do not know, but damn these aliens are very cute!

The process far is fully enjoyable; however, they just started fanning for The Challenge and I am so happy!

I’m obviously going to give it more of a chance, but at 5% and I feel like I’m being hammered over the head with their love for each other. I get they’re setting it up but it’s a little aggressive.

Honestly, so far this has been pretty good; however, why the fuck did we have to be racist? Calling Mr. Chan, Mr. Ying Yang is fucking gross and was unnecessary for the buck. Frustrating for sure

OK, this is normally one of my favourite authors but really, saying transvestite in your book much less saying it as a derogatory term is gross.

I know this book is from 2012 so I’m gonna try and overlook it but holy shit, already 4 instances of slut shaming in 3%! That must be a record.

I can’t get over how good this book is! All the characters are so well done, even the very minorest of characters! I think I thought the first 10 to 15% was a bit slow but it more than made up!!!!

I’m not gonna lie, this book is taking me a bit to get through because it is fucking gutting!! Just devastating!

Ughh why does every old book I go back and reread has so much slut shaming?? I’m glad romance novels have gotten better that way but fuck me this is uncool and makes me sad I can’t love past books as much as I once did

This book is hilarious and adorable and so clever and I’m obsessed with the main girl! She’s a fucking delight!

Ughhhhh. I hate re-reading past favourite books when I get into it and their slut shaming and other super dated uncomfortable shit. So disappointing.

I can't believe I'm going to dnf at 73% but I'm over this. The writing is weird, the dialogue is unnatural and I just don't want to do 27% more of this this.

I really don't think I like this book. I'm going to finish cuz I'm this far now but there's a lot of issues like why does the main guy insist on calling girls bitches and cunts so liberally? And he is so bossy! I'm all for an alpha male but this is a little much. Also it seems really disjointed and a bit all over the place and also feels a bit like in love which is never my thing.

Okay ew, this did not age well. There's some definite cringey racist things that I'm ashamed I didn't notice when I originally read it in 2015.

Ughhhh. I have to say, this was one of my very favorite books five or six years ago when I read it, and I'm still enjoying it but I don't know what changed between last time I read it and this time but so far in the book it feels a wee bit racist. I'm hoping it'll come full circle and these white assholes (other than Penny) will realize the kids being bussed in from the Reserve aren't bad kids but I don't know.

Okay, I'm already loving the best friend and wish the book was about him.

Okay, other than the to-do list part, it's not really anything like Get A Life Chloe Brown, but equally as good as it thus far

So far this has very strong Get A Life Chloe Brown vibes, I'll keep reading but I hope it changes and isn't totally the same as that book
