I desperately need this book to be better!

Not sure why some reviews said that Liveship is better than the Farseer trilogy.
25% in and I’m still not hooked in by the characters nor the events so far …

to what extent will they wrong this boy in the name of loyalty?? It’s 4am and im too upset & sleepy to finish the book.

I’m nearing the end of the book, & so far no solution is there for either Regal nor the Red Ships. Plus, the White Prophet already ‘seen’ the end of the Six Duchies, & the betrayal of Fitz by someone he dearly trusts…
so Im predicting King Verity isnt coming back at all. We’ll either find him dead or too weak to make the journey back. In fact I believe this quest to save the Duchies will fail.

This vision he’s lost in is taking so long … please someone slap him awake.

Oh Fitz 💔 How much will you sacrifice? How much will they keep asking of you?

The amount of times this boy is getting caught, is NOT good for my nerves … 😤

I gotta say Robin Hobb is really good at writing about ‘loneliness’ … my heart aches reading~ 🥲
The sense of abandonment that Fitz is experiencing is just heart wrenching. I thought it was bad at book2, now it’s just WORSE.

i dont have words for what’s happening. Things are getting more and more complicated 😩
There’s just so many things to worry about~ Dont know how Fitz manages it all

Things are going so well that im afraid everything will come tumbling down

Ch15 - I cant believe Burrich kicked Galen’s ass. 🤣 I loved this chapter to bittssss. Burrich love for Fitz is beyond words.

Love the mentor/father relationship between Fitz and Burrich. The guy really cares for Fitz and it shows. 🥹 When he was worried Fitz was sick and lonely, trying to feed him food, be more around him, & keep him more occupied from his thoughts.

Also this part 💔

Thorn & Ophelia are SO rare … but they never fail to give me 🦋🦋🦋
But im afraid I need more than that !

I usually dont care about books specifically written to show the pov of the male lead. But I desperately need one right now, what on earth is happening in Mr Thorns head!?

~ almost teared up reading this, I feel for Ophelia, poor girl. God bless Aunt Rosaline for being with her. Homesickness & being around people who dont care for you is just AWFUL.

the family’s magic abilities & the Citaceleste are very ghibli-like ~ love our protagonist’s personality, I feel like I would enjoy being her friend in real life. Hope thats not our last meeting with her Uncle, loved the old mans spirit. Also I am amazed and happy that she’s on par and even retaliates to Mr Thorn comments and poor poooor actions. There s soo much to say!
