I have to give up on this book. Usually I read every book I buy, even if it's not really my style or so, but this series is just such a pain to read that I can not finish it. I'm defeated, it's been proven now: it is possible to write in such a totally uninspiring, boring, unoriginal and predictable manner that I just can't force myself to read any more.

A bit of an old book by now which show somewhat in how makes and females are stereotyped. But still a good read full of optimism and some good points about human nature.

What I found most interesting and at least to me original was how the future government reasoned about it's exploration of space and alien cultures.
