What an enjoyable listen!

This is my first by this author. And not sure if I will continue on in the series. Very very slow moving. And so repetitious just to fill pages. We get it! She is a a mystery, but she loves her kids, she chopped her hair! And the other was a closet millionaire who acted poor but gave and gave. I cannot wait for it to be over already. Glad I got this and one other at a reducted price.

1/3 the way thru and I find Katy the most disagreeable character I have read about in a long time. Her relationship with her mother is so unhealthy that even Katy herself wonders "If your mother is the love of your life, what does that make your husband?"A mother should be a friend but this relationship?
And then Carol comes into her life? I am only continuing so I can see if she gets the psychiatric care she needs

The snippets of music in the audio version are distracting.
The story itself? A little wordy now and getting to the point where I just want the story to end.
This telling of the story from so many different POV's makes for a very long book.

Where was this book 12 years ago.
My favorite quote? "It takes a hell of a man to replace no man"
Isn't that the truth!

If I can get past the very boring narrators in the audio version I may like the book.

Story started out great and grabbed me but about 1/4 of the way in I believe I have already figured out where it is going. But I will continue on.
