I have to mention a Trigger Warning for this book. I'm not usually big on those, but for anyone who has lost a loved one to drowning beware.
Chapter 9 - stop at “What the fuck?” pick up again at "My outrage-fueled courage failed completely"
Also Chapter 11 stop at "I stepped down feeling for the bottom step with my feet, and missed" pick up again at "I clinked my glass with his"
You won't miss plot points.

Recovering from my periodontal surgery this week, I have started this book. It is funny, clever, smart, amusing and I'm having trouble putting it down. It might not sound or look like it would be your jam, but oh my gosh give it a shot! The author is literate and has great comic timing. I'm using it for the 52BookClub Summer Challenge 2024 prompt #11 UNEVEN BARS: Series with uneven number of books. (Book 1 of 5)
