I am gasping at every other page. It’s so tempting to just flip through to the end and find out what the hell is going on and get it done with. But I think I want to see my boy lick a few more random rocks and have more misprint zombies swarm them while they survive on lichen mush.

I was not expecting that ending but it was very realistic and still satisfying. I suppose I keep expecting books to have the answers to everything delivered in dramatic and profound revelations and for there to be a romance to save the main character. Which is not what happened at all. Keiko never needed saving or romance. She was perfectly functional all on her own. Will definitely be re-reading this again.
