Unsurprisingly, men being the worst is a universal experience across space and time

Okay, we’re starting to pick up a bit in the plot. It’s still a bit too verbose for my liking, even if the prose is beautiful. But I’m starting to see the appeal.

Am I reading the same book everyone else read? This has been painfully slow.

So much of the content is being beat upon the head with the fact that Beartown is a struggling town and they need the junior team to win this hockey game. I got it the first three times, I don’t need another 30 reminders.

I’ll try to see this through to the end, but it’s been a slog with just a few bright spots thus far.

Reading this in the US in 2025 hits especially hard.
