Oh my goodness this was amazing! This was the YRCA winner for 2020 and it was absolutely deserved. This should be required reading for every young adult to introduce them to the topic of immigration and refugees. I’ve always thought books are the best way to understand and sympathize with others feelings and beliefs. You can jump into the mind of someone you’ve never met. This historical fiction does just that!
