Wow, a lot of double talk but at times it reminds me of watching an episode of MASH, I chuckle out loud. Then in the next moment I wonder where the heck this story is going besides around in circles.

I abandoned this book. Did not pull me in at all - I am only assuming that Eleanor Oliphant is not really fine and stranger than strange. Marking it as abandoned.

Wading through it. On page 425. Only going to finish to see if Lena ever sees the man that got her pregnant and if she wakes up and marries Byron Bunch, that is if Byron comes back at all. Sigh.

Going to abandon this cumbersome read. I worked my way through about 42 pages and could not get into this book. Ugh!

A slow read so far, and the very detailed description of maggots and flies on the body (dead or not dead?) of Judge Healey in the beginning of the book was disgusting and made it hard for me to get into. Usually Pearl’s books are a bit dark but I have enjoyed the read, eventually. We’ll see what happens with this one.

Wonderful collaboration between Flavia and Dogger to solve the murder and finger in the cake. Delightful read!

A second murder in Pye Hall and Herr Pund is on the case despite is devastating healthy news. More characters are brought under suspicion and the astute observations of this crackerjack private eye :O)

Slow progress as I am only taking time to read when I go to bed at night. Story is holding my interest so far as the author introduces more and more characters. The plot is starting to thicken ever so slowly and a list of suspects (or not) is beginning to develop. It appears, the deceased, was not a very well liked person, though respected for her hard work and devotion to her employer.
