Omg this is so much better than the second book. Cress is very interesting and I like her banter with Captain.

Scarlett is in here a lot less and that is to the strength of the story. She is just so dumb and a hot head and I hate protagonists who are impulsive.

Cinder is still a strong character and I like that she is taking care of Wolf. Good friendships.

Eric’s mom is driving me nuts. I want her to get a therapist more than I want a HEA.

Also, the dad is so awful. It feels like the three adult children never had a real sit down about him having two families.

Scarlet is so annoying. She’s willing to give up herself for her grandma but also wants Wolf to commit to taking care of the grandma.

Why are we giving this terrible mother a pass for being so aggressive?

It’s so annoying how dumb Darcy is. You’re an analyst. Even with her recommendation, she can’t magically make the team play better.

Also, no nonprofit is gonna audit which family is the most needy to see if you’ve given the right family the grant. She would never have been fired for that.

This is an author fail.

Her dad getting on their case about how he thinks Jace is the player most likely to get some random lady pregnant is so weird. He has a 24 year old daughter and a 5 year old daughter bc he literally got some random lady pregnant. Hypocrite much?

I am GOBSMACKED by how much of a tool her ex is.

- his papers were not doing well so she added his name to her papers.
- she gave him half of her TA classes so he could make money.
- he took credit for her research.
- then he accused her of stealing his work and got her kicked out of her phd program.

This guy better get a huge comeuppance.

1. She was looking up vibrators on her work laptop at work??? Nobody questioned that?

2. She claims that she ruined people’s lives by getting the numbers wrong at the non profit. This is not how grant writing works. Or how working at a non profit works.

3. She’s afraid to be the team’s analyst bc she’s scared to “ruin lives”? Whatttt? This is hockey. Are you serious?

Lou Lee is a bitch for being so harsh on Mer’s grieving process but she’s not wrong that Mer is a shitty friend.
