Wow so a bunch of characters just handled something soooooo badly and so just insensitivity it almost makes me question loving them to begin with.

Figuring out why I liked this book the first time. 😍

They’re both growing on me.

This is a 5 star read for me the first time but this second time Avondale is way too commanding and way too quick to ruin this woman’s reputation. She’s a brand new widow to town and while I know she’s a bit darker than that all he knows is that but for him widow means sex worker for free. And it’s not a good look. He thinks she’s mourning her husband and he’s chasing her in front of the ton for sex.

He is so good. She is so awful.

I usually do not hate female characters this much. But this girl is Umbridge 2

EVEN without her memory, she is the worst. wow. This means it's in her core. She's horrible. why should she end up with this lovely man?

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about his lie, but... I would have lied too. This woman is VILE. So far she does not deserve him.

REREAD FUNCTION!!!!!!

I've already laughed and just experienced so much pleasure and it's only chapter 3!!!!! It may be early days but I think Lisa Kleypas, the Lisa kleypas who wrote the wallflower series and created Derek Craven... is back!!!!

I was very very afraid to start reading. Like, what if St. Vincent's son sucks?!! But, he just said his first line and I laughed so hard. Of course St. Vincent would be funny. I haven't even officially met him yet and I already love him. Of course.

Ward's constant class prejudice is incredibly annoying. He's always going on and on about what a lady would or wouldn't do when he eschews society. So he has no idea!!!!!!!

If what I think is happening to Jason is happening it's the most fucked up thing EVER!!! Who would do this??
