The first day recap: “…ask if they [my 2 year old] have any questions.” HAHAHAHA!! Mmmmk.

Wait wait wait…so the author didn’t want to include a “signs of readiness” section because she doesn’t believe there are true signs of readiness that we can detect beyond the capacity and musculature of our child’s body systems…but then says “Start by rereading the section on signs of readiness in chapter 2”??? #confused

Only helpful tip I’ve gotten so far: make sure your child’s feet can rest flat on the floor when using the potty or toilet.

Everything else: *eye roll*

“…there is no denying that families are far busier and more mothers are working…” What, dads can’t or aren’t expected to potty train their kids? *eye roll*

Chapter 1: SKIP IT

Introduction: “I’m only using certain terms in this book because it’s what the public expects and my book wouldn’t sell if I used ‘correct’ terms that gentle parents use.” *eye roll*

Honestly...I’m 1 chapter in and I’m really hoping it gets better. Does the word “fuck” (or any of its variations) really need to appear so many times in 10 pages? I know this is her first “adult” book...but not all adults cuss so much.
