I just started this, but when the first sentence is "Good news, Heavens", announces my dipsh*t husband.", the tone has clearly been set. This won't get much more than 3 stars from me, profanity laced pages turn me off, and I dind it to be lazy writing. I'm not a prude, and goodness knows I have a mouth, a couple of times is fine, but it's every couple of sentences and it just wears me out.

It has become obvious that I'm not going to complete my challenge this year. I suppose I could tear through the super short books again, but that feels like cheating. Alas, maybe I have a gift book or two for someone I've not gone through yet. Hmmm...

I am loving this so far. Her book "Clytemnestra", is also fabulous.

This book is a dream. Reads like a dream, written in dreamy sentences with descriptions that put you Eigth Row Center in the Inverted Theatre. So far I am impressed with the writing style, in hope the rest of the story matches it.

This is just not holding my attention. Nor is it what the blurb described. I thought I was getting an adventure, instead I'm getting a very long, very boring recap of King Arthur's life. Where's the adventure? Where's the Quest? Okay, I'm going to plug on in hope that the story is going to go somewhere eventually.

Not quite the book I was expecting.
