This book is great. I want everyone I know to read it.

For me, not a lot of earthshattering realizations, but I've been YNAB budgeting for a while. I think for a lot people who don't budget at all or use another method would find this book really useful.

I wish I could recommend this book specifically to people I know need it, but that would be awkward. Helpful advice all around. Still deciding if it has a ton of value for those who already know and use the system.

“A budget tells you how your spending affects the rest of your life.” I’m already committed to budgeting, but this book is full of good advice.

I am always hesitant about portrayals of characters on the autism spectrum. I find myself wondering if the author knows enough to write the character authentically and not like the caricatures we sometimes see in pop culture. But a friend I trust recommended it and I liked Julie Buxbaum’s last book so I’m forging ahead.

I wish this was required reading freshman year of college. But really I’d recommend it to anyone at any stage of life. I am really loving it.

The chapter she wrote on collective joy and collective pain was a huge revelation for me. It helped me piece together what was so profound about so many moments I have experienced with others - at church, in the community, and at times of loss. I’ve never connected all those moments in this way or been able to articulate why they were so important to me.

This book. Wow. It is gutsy, dramatic, and VERY different than her other books. And I think I like it. (But heads up to my friends who are sensitive to content - this one has a lot of scenes in it you might find objectionable.)

I just finished the chapter on making long term investments in your life. It was actually very affirming for me - someone who has chosen to take a less aggressive approach to my career while my kids are young — that the decisions I’ve made to have the time and energy to invest in my relationships will be something I’ll look back on as a wise investment.

The title of this book is brilliant. Her research is really interesting, even if the delivery is a little dry or clinical sounding.

I love this book. The chapter on hygiene (environmental) and motivation factors in driving job satisfaction and dissatisfaction really resonated with what I have heard conducting employee surveys at work.

Apparently it's the summer of the beach read because I had read so many. This one is one of the best ones so far.

"Nobody's lives just fit together. Fitting together is something you work at. It's something you make happen--because you love each other." So great reading a book by Rainbow Rowell about a mature relationship rather than young love. She's as insightful as ever.
