This book just blew me away! Best book of the year hands down! I started it, finished it and wanted to start it again. Should be required reading in this country but it did win NBA!!!! In a nutshell, it’s about the talk every black parent must have with their sons to keep them safe and about identity and what it means to have a country and so much more. Read this book. It lives up to its name.

The story of Belle Da Costa Greene is powerful. The authors shine a brilliant light on her extraordinary life as the personal librarian of J. P. Morgan, the racism and prejudice in the Gilded Age, the early 20th century and into the 1950’s.
