Good so far, but I'm pausing because my reading brain has tanked and it's just not happening. *Sigh.*

I have waited *ten years* for this book (Jandy Nelson is my favorite YA author), and now I am only seventy pages in but my heart is being torn out of my chest. This is cool. I am FINE.

Maggie Nelson is a brilliant critic and writer, but I don't have the context to access that brilliance this time around. NBD, I'll just reread The Argonauts one of these days, it'll be a great time.

Putting this one on pause - I'm enjoying it a decent amount, but it's taking me foreeeeeeeeever to get through, and I have other library holds to read! Hoping to come back to it someday.

I have put A Choir of Lies on pause (despite loving the 64 pages I read) because I am in A Reading Slump. Catch me reading historical romances until I feel like I can handle complicated plots again

Alright, I give in. This one's a DNF for me - I realized after finishing the introduction that this is indeed a deeper dive into the topic than I have interest in exploring, at least currently. It's really interesting, but also not really a good beginners' entry. I'm glad this book exists! Maybe I'll come back to it someday.

DNF-ing for no reason but that it's taking me foreeeeeeeever to read and maybe that means I'm not that into it? I can see where a writer would find this interesting; I'm just not up for two hundred more pages of examples.

The romance is cute enough, but I forgot how much this friend group annoys me with their nosiness/pushiness. 💀 Also when everything would be solved if the two main characters simply talked about what happened in the past? I don't have the patience. I don't think it's a bad book but I'm not in the mood for it. Ah well.

I wanted to read this one for months and months, but I'm not really that into it? I love the concept and the execution is great. I think I'm just not much for zombie-ish post-apocalypse stories, or at least not right now. Maybe someday.

Setting this one aside for a while. I think I could get into it if the rest of my TBR stack wasn't so good atm. I keep looking back at the reviews and thinking MAN I WANT TO READ THIS so. TTYL, Mungo.

I think I catch more of the plot when reading it myself, but Moira Quirk does such an exceptional job with these audiobooks that making the time to listen to them is a no brainer. Also this series continues to corrode my brain cells but again, DON'T LOOK AT ME. I. Am. Fine. :+)

Apologies to my book club pals, but this came along at a time where I simply don't have the motivation to forge through. I don't think it's a bad book! But I simply am not going to have this read by Wednesday. Or possibly anytime ever. 😬💀

Swapping over from the audiobook to the hardcover so I can finish rereading before Nona comes out; that being said, the audiobook was SO GOOD. I just never have time for it.
