Very theoretical, philosophical as opposed to studying the word of God or modern issues in the church. Since Driscoll is no longer with Mars Hill and has done a whole lot of new crazy stuff, this feels outdated & irrelevant. Also I’m not connecting with the Hannah Arrent stuff. It’s 20% in and I don’t know why he keeps talking about her

“God is not going to punish us for wrong thinking” so it’s ok to be curious about things. The Talmud wasn’t considered inerrant.

“if I believe that you are going to burn for eternity, unless you listen to me and agree with me, then you are my project not my friend.”

If God commands us to live our enemies, why wouldn't he love us even if we are enemies? Punishment for not having a relationship with someone is toxic and abusive.

Now we get to the Night City and Magic.

The flash card & President Tuba says Blues are not smart. Why is the true and not true? How would you react if you were isolated like Imogene? Why did Dr Abby tell her Clones can’t feel emotions?

It took them 4 hours to hook up and they reasons for not getting together were convoluted and ridiculous. Also the dialog is cringe.

I wonder if I’d like this better if I were in my 20’s. The plot is dumb- just tell her you’re a werewolf and you like her. Have an adult conversation. Ugh!

Chapter 11- I’m out of time for this traveling book but it’s also really slow so I don’t know if I’ll finish it on Libby. I would if it’s an audiobook, but I can’t find an audiobook for this book on any platform.
