I mentioned that I was reading something about sad Canadians and hockey and my partner instantly said, "Oh, Jeff Lemire?" I guess that's his niche.

This is about all my brain can handle as I slowly get over my jet lag.

I forget why I added this to my list, but they had a used copy at the store so I picked it up. Pretty... conventional so far. Why am I reading this?

Does this get any better? Three stories in and so far all have been pretty predictable and bland.

Yes I am chasing that Awful Marriage book with some scifi. Sue me.

Hard to motivate myself to read this nonsense. Oh, he murdered a bunch more people again? Great. Who were they? I guess it doesn't matter.

Almost every cover of every Robin Hobb books is atrocious and believe it or not, this one is not the most atrocious. How. There's like an entire Internet full of talented illustrators out there who could probably use the work. Also, Hobb's current Goodreads profile is a rant about star ratings. Yes.

Why do I always get the *worst* available cover?
