This is hard to listen to as I have been through a similar experience. I'm sticking with it though and opening to deeper healing by exposing my raw edges. Well written. Well researched.

Barely started and I'm hooked! Already at least three mysteries! I've been reading Coben for a couple decades. A new experience with Witherspoon. Who knew?

I’m just over halfway through and I kept thinking, “Isn’t it finished yet?”:Though every piece of Ms. George’s prose is so polished, so REAL, I don’t want to be finished. Just as we solve one intrigue up pops an another. Or a subset. I’ve been going through this series from the middle out and from the beginning based on library availability. Each story stands alone AND the evolution of relationships …

So far predictable like most NS books. I thought the co-author whose films I've enjoyed might elevate the story. Not much so far! Chose good narrators though, especially Whelan-a favorite.

Not what I expected. I almost gave up and the prose as poetry engaged me. A respite from the tension of recent reads. Ahh . . .

Probably won't f finish. Although I do usually like YA, this one feels more like Junior High. I guess the key is in the title though I'm hearing MeloDRAMA. Probably just me and my evolving tastes.

Re-reading after watching the movie and a couple documentaries. Pacing myself. Nice access to the audiobook via a library app.

Oh my goodness! The dialogue! I'm laughing and crying. I can SEE the story unfolding. Will this be a film? I sure hope so. And I'm not even half way through. Worth the wait for the library audiobook.

So many story lines yet she makes them all interesting and easy to follow. The dialog is engaging and the premise is clear yet not the only plot here. I'm binging on the narration while doing laundry, trending cats, drinking tea, crocheting a blanket for charity. Keeping my mind off my age related minor aches and pains.

This is the strangest book! But I can't stop listening! One catastrophe after another with weirdos but are they? Because they're so relatable. I'm laughing and crying at the same time then talking to the characters like they could hear me! It's more than a book. It's an experience.

Rarely reading nonfiction, I was drawn to this one. For reasons obvious from the title.

I won't finish. Too dry and full of history. Even narrator Mark Harmon can't make it interesting (to me).

I think I'm going to give up. I thought hard scifi was a favorite genre. Unfortunately, my humble intellect cannot keep up. I don't want to struggle this much. Sigh.

I am so glad I stuck with this one! I didn't realize these were short stories, and they're so creative! Never a fan of fishing (I get seasick), I almost didn't continue. Good stories!

This is a good story and one of my favorite themes-working dogs-BUT I keep getting distracted by the poor editing! It's spelled "whoa," not "woah." And the plural of a noun, even a name, does NOT have an apostrophe! Geez. I could go on, but I'm already feeling a little Karen-ish. And yes. I know. That's not a word. SMH.

Back to the beginning of this compelling series that I caught in the middle! Loving it!

I do love her Alaska series. Makes me want to experience it. Maybe THIS IS my experience of it.

So far the plot is engaging. I'm somewhat put off by some minor inconsistencies. Jackals? In Florida? And mixing up American and Brit colloquilisms is off-putting. I know that's picky, but it interferes with my immersion in the story. Sigh.
