I’m struggling with this one. I didn’t watch the tv show because I wanted to read at least the first book, but now it’s 2025 and I’m finally reading it and I’m thinking the tv show is likely to have been better. I seem to alternate between being bored or disgusted. I’ve put it aside and read other books several times.
I wonder what I would have thought of this book if I had read it back in 1996.
