1 didn't like chapter 4 sounds. seemed pointless and hard to follow. mainly taked about train and bird sounds

5. Still surprised at how fast it moves ad how it seems to start in the thick of everything

1. Looks down on easy reading that doesn’t challenge intellectually. Says that no one in Concord reads anything good, meaning classic English literature

1. Says that he has had Iliad sitting on his bedstand table because he doesn’t have time to read and then goes on at length about the importance of reading classics with arcane language and fully understanding them

2. Even someone deciding to write a book like this shows their arrogance and how full of themselves they are. Goes on and on about minute details and with occasional philosophy thrown in which are the best parts

4. Really appreciate how it just jumps in and doesn't do a huge recap. It does small recaps for more detailed/intricate things (like an item's stats or description) but not huge major recaps

3. seems like pretty unconnected stories stitched together

3. Started to show some hopefulness with the woman in Texas won a lawsuite against a plastic manufacturing plant after taking daily samples for years. But then dashed with talk of plastic bags and the state governments that would ban and threaten local governments from imposing bans or taxes

4 Enjoying this more than I thought I would. Reading with my daughter and enjoy discussing it with her

3. Nothing that I'm too unfamiliar with so far, but some "helpful" reminders about how plastic is made from the byproduct of gasoline production and how interwoven those industries are. Was interesting to hear about how the soda companies switched from reusable containers to non-reusable and said that demand wasn't high enough for reusable containers. Pretty depressing and without much hope
