Make Your Own Way - 3. About a girl who doesn’t want to leave town because of her horse. Didn’t like the ending - seemed easy and lazy. Did appreciate how Maryellen cared for her horse and wanted to take care of it

3. Kovach’s Last Case. - Michael Kortya. Horrible ending I didn’t get. Was going to at least give it a 4 until the end. Bodies and blood in bottle all good ideas - contamination though??? pretty well executed, until the end

Till Human Voices Wake Us We Drown - 2. Unnecessary and weird sexualness. Lots of weird side stories/tangents that don’t go anywhere or come back. Not canon and seems unrelated to the stand. Abrupt and unfulfilled ending that could have been much better. Interesting idea however and interesting mermaid. Had potential to be a lot better

African Painted Dogs - 3. Fine. Interesting that it was told from the perspective of animals in a zoo. Sad and depressing though and not the best ending

La Mala Hora - 3. Story could have been longer. Not much happens. Was invested and rooting for the characters

Moving Day - 3. Has Larry in it which is the highlight. Nothing really happens. Boy whose family died and mostly talking about their back stories. Larry shows up, the girl dies, he takes off. Nothing really happens

Grace - 4. Really enjoyed this one, probably favorite but why the rip off ending... and by someone who worked on an Alien book...

3. Each chapter is from a different perspective. There seems to be a struggle between character development and having the appropriate setting/setup for specific philosophical musings. For example, in the first chapter Et Cetera is quite taken with the rich girl. In the second book, Et Cetera is suddenly all about one of the walk aways and seems to forget about rich girl

4. Enjoying, but wish it was still about mushrooms

4. Really like the political and philosophy contained. Why do the walk aways still use so much technology? Romance surprisingly well done, but gets a bit tiring after some time

Wrong Place Wrong Time - 4. References to The Stand thrown in and mostly unrelated to story but enjoyed. mostly about horror movies and becoming the killer with catharsis

Hope Boat - 2 Nothing happens and ambiguous ending

Lenora - 2. sad and depressing. lot of animal deaths misery and heartache. ending is unfulfilling and abrupt

Lockdown - 3 Would have been better as part of a longer story. felt abbreviated and not allowed to breathe or develop

Every Dog Has its Day - 4. Favorite so far. could have been written better, but fit the original well, entertaining and heartfelt

4. Like how part of the story is told from her mom’s book

Bright Light City - 3. My favorite so far, would have rated it higher but really didn't like how it ended. wanted it to be longer

Wrath James White - The Tripps - 3. Set in a poor black neighborhood. Everyone killing everyone. Everyone attacking everyone else. Jamaicans drive by shooting at everyone. Has a good ending, but too short of a story and not much plot. Mom told to kill son to save family by Flagg
