A very misleading title. There was some explanation but for an audiobook it was not enough. And just too much anecdotes and productivity guides for writers. And the guides did not explain how to work “freely”.

The idea seems good and I will look for a guide elsewhere.

One of the more influential books probably that was badly needed a long time ago.
Occasionally it was too long on some issues and repetitive and then I got too little practical guidance on projects.
But the usefulness and life changing advice vastly overweighted any shortcomings.

A pretty humorous overview of the comics life.
For me there were too many unknown old time references.
I did also expect more reactions from myself when his wife died. But it might be for different reasons. But I did get a picture of man who is emotionally almost to healthy.

It seems to support the anxiety book ideas in my case. Reading longer pieces creates less anxiety than short attention grabbing headlines.

Overly general, but still with some good ideas and a readable book. I liked the thoughts on mans limited attention and the urgency to choose your focus.
He also had some clear points about responsiblity and the limits on mans response.

An indepth look at encounters with plenty of historical background. The historical character helps bring closer the meaning of misunderstanings and failings, seeing the very human side of them. At times the reading is even psychological. But the jewel is the analysis from semiotical viewpoint. A pleasure to read.
