I enjoyed the first book enough and was really excited for this… but “Fury Bound” is off to a rocky start.

The only thing I hate more than this mediocre and amateurish writing is the main character’s friends.

Oh no. I’m so bloody bored.

08 June: Oh my god. Please, I don’t want this book to end.

30th May: I’ve been slack with updates because I’ve just been so engrossed in the story. The beginning truly was nothing but a set-up. The guts of it lays in this complicated, thorough, articulate take-down revenge where all the key players are intertwined and stories are within stories. Truly amazing.

The kind of disapproving adversities these two face is ridiculous. Talk about a difficult family.

I hope I still remember what happened in the first two books. Insane that it only spans 10 days in-story.

It’s still very entertaining to step back into the world of these characters.

24th May: Amazing. It has me on tenterhooks. We’re past the prison escape; I was biting my nails the entire time.

22nd May: Giving this a go. I’m optimistic, knowing that this is one of the greatly revered pieces of literature.

23rd May: Made it through the incarceration. It’s truly very intricate and rigorous. The references & nuanced politics feel lost to me, but the general understanding of events and themes are clear. I’m intrigued.

Doing re-read of this after two years, to decide if I should buy the special editions coming out next month.

So far... it’s hard to say no.

This book is so BORING.

Oh no. Two chapters in and I already hate our dear Phaedra Morgan.

Is it over yet? I’m so bored.

There’s something wrong with this second book. I knew the writing was acerbic and informal, but it’s so… disjointed and sloppy now that I’m getting a headache from just trying to follow along. It’s like reading rubbish.

I fell for the Waterstones pretty edition and took a risk on this… only to know in the first 5 chapters that I’ve made a mistake.

God, save me. I’m struggling.

Oh no... really regretting having bought this book now. Not just because OwlCrate's edition looks... less than ideal, but because I'm not enjoying it at all. Jessamine is terribly annoying (childish), and the plot is lagging; dragging. I'll be switching to the audiobook to pull through.

I’ve just reached Part Three and oh my god, I do not want this book to end.
