Very political and a tad dry. I am wishing for more character development, particularly for the women.

I have such mixed feelings about this.

On one hand, a book about the 2 principle architects of a utopia figuring out how to end their political careers and developing a friendship? YES PLEASE.

On the other hand.... The setting is troubling to me, and the hit-you-over-the-head no-homo tone wasn't to my taste. I wish there had been a reference list, or at least an author's note explaining her intent.
