It's impossible not to judge this one by its cover. I have high expectations, both for the story, and also for myself. I hope I'll manage to get through this book leaving the cover untouched!! It's so pretty I could cry

Haven't started it, but I noticed there's a map of Stockholm in it so I'm loving it so far lol

Hmmm while I'm definitely enjoying the writing style and multiple narrators, it is a little bit slow in my opinion so it's difficult to get hooked. Page 116 and not much of a conflict yet - I don't really know where the story is going save for *that relationship* (which I don't know where it's going either, but at least I know it'll be important).

I wish I could remember everything that I have read down so far as it is sooo interesting. I probably should have read Sapiens before Homo deus, though.
Question: Am currently reading about how some theorise that Homo sapiens mated with Homo neanderthalensis some 70,000 years ago... Being of different species, the two animals wouldn't be able to breed, though, right? Is there something I am overlooking?

This is the first time I'm reading Stephen King (and also the first time I'm reading a horror novel), but up till now things are looking pretty good! It might even be the start of a very long horror-novels-and-Stephen-King reading career!

I have fallen in love with the wonderful writing and the delightful descriptions ... I'm honestly, utterly lovin' it <3

Ummm.... THOMAS, WHY, WHY, WHY DID YOU NOT LET WICKED RESTORE YOUR MEMORIES? WHY THE REBEL ATTITUDE? WHYYY??

Well, Uncle Rick, didn't you say that you were avoiding large cliffhangers in this book? ... Because what happened to Jason at the end of chapter 4 is definitely a cliffhanger, considering that we have to read almost 40 pages to find out what happens next! (Tried to avoid spoilers)

I've learnt my lesson, and now I'm just hoping that the ending will be 100% cliffhanger-free and therefore satisfactory...
