Have a feeling I've read this before - not that I recognize it other than knowing this legend in and out, but there's something about the cover that rings a bell... Could the pics have been taken from the film Alexander?

This book sits with me the whole day! The anxiety of it's characters, the small but not futile attempts at opposition. And today I read the article by Tonnikova (Pussy Riot) on the conditions she and her fellow inmates lives under in camp 14 in Russia. It's horrendous to read what she experiences of all against all mentality, initiated by the two thugs on the top of this camp. Amnesty - please, help them!

Crazy, intelligent, funny and difficult. A real trip of a book!

Think I'n back on track again...

Reading the Norwegian translation, and am just as thrilled as I have been with his other novels. Although this is more of a scientific book belonging to my studies in Gestalt therapy. And I needed it now - as I have just experienced death anxiety for the first time in my life. A good experience and something I hope to be able to relate to my future clients.

Eyeopening to read it again after sooo many years!

Might have to have another book on the side now - Rushdie is getting a bit tedious. But then I haven't been able to read for longer bits at a time either. When I do - he snares me back in.
