I have no idea why it takes me so long. I get distracted, then come back and dive again into convoluted politics of 15th century

I stopped for a year, I think, and I am back to reading it. I've heard so much of it, but somehow I've never read it. Now I am determined to finish. it is no slow or boring, but a year ago something didn't click.

Unexpectedly, I read it as a book about the meaning of being human. I grew up learning that labour turned an ape into a human. That definition had been dis-proven a long time ago, but it is the meaningful work, the work that affect reality that is really important

cute and fun, but it's quirkiness doesn't work in big doses. Have to make stops from time to time

Yes, I think I am reading one chapter a week. too easy to put aside for something quick. Loving it though.

I getting too often distracted with this book - it's been two or three weeks already. I had a lot of things to do, but I am not sure the double time line works that well.
