I'm enjoying a lot of the character interactions we didn't get to see in the game. Nico and Robbie, in particular, are incredibly sweet together.

I am almost certain the novel I have at work has a completely different prologue than the audiobook. I must investigate.

Fully obsessed with the covers in this series. If it continues to be this good I may have to buy them.

This is off to a fun start. I think I've read so many Novelettes/Novellas of late for judging that I'm kinda cooked for long form fiction. We shall see how it goes.

what i needed was a fourth book in my currently reading list

Finally picked this one up again. Enjoying the winks to the audience whenever a big plot twist is casually mentioned before the player would have known about it.

This thing is a SLOG but I am enjoying the setting. There's just so much nothing happening that the story feels like it's ballooned by 200+ pages.

I googled "Christmas fantasy romance" and came across this title. The setting is cute but unfortunately Kit is boring and Elsie is both insufferable and too stupid to live.

I'm enjoying this. The Twist is just on the horizon and will completely obvious when it is revealed, but in a well signposted way. I just wish there were more to the characters. We're getting lots of "wow I really value this person's friendship!" thoughts and not a whole lot of it in action on paper. Feels a bit surface level? I guess I wish it were meatier but it is still very fun.

Oh this is fantastic already.

Miss Bingley remains awful and I love that for her.

Hm I wonder if I will regret recommending this to one of the principals without having finished it.

Surely not.

Two thoughts:

1) Mallory is pathetic and horrible and snivelling and I love him.

2) The writing makes me want to weep and burn everything I've ever put to paper.

Oh wow I'm not even sure I can finish this out of morbid fascination.

I'd forgotten how funny this series is. Glad to be back in it.

Ahhhhhh there's still so much more to go

Now, I knew this would be kind of bad going in, but I had not expected it to be quite so dated.

As in, would have been all the rage in 2009. Shame it was written in 2016.

Only 40 pages in and this has jumped to the top of my list of best book of the year

PLEASE tell me there's a retelling where Lucy runs off to the countryside with her four blood husbands and is a menace to the local town
