Devouring this book like candy. Osman’s characters are THE best. There are no serious contenders.

Hmm... this didn't age well. No spoilers, but perhaps authors in 2020-2021 should've thought better about including Covid in their plots. But I love Hiaasen's writing, so I'll try to overlook the outdated parts.

This is actually better than I anticipated. I love the history of the lighthouse, and the mystery is intriguing, as well.

I never thought I needed a stalker story for a Valentine's read, but it seems appropriate. The opening was a little flat with under-developed characters and the stereotypical romance-horror mashup, but the suspense is ramping up nicely now. Even with multiple characters living in the same house, the author still manages to have the MC find the stalker's letters in creative ways.

I haven’t read a regency in a long time. This one grabbed me from the start. The writing is great, good pacing, and not overwritten. Ghosts, Northumberland, and an Austen-esque plot… yes, please!

I’m invested in the plot of this book. A nun leaves her order to investigate the disappearance of one of her fellow nuns. An inn full of suspects, giving off Agatha Christie vibes. But I’m not sure I buy into the character of Norah, the nun. She’s edgy and jaded, also very worldly. I feel like the author wanted to gloss over the fact that she comes from a cloister. We’ll see how her character develops.

Lots of unbelievable coincidences in this story. It’s almost likable, though. A guy trying to rescue a teen from a yacht piloted by human traffickers…very suspenseful.

This book follows two perspectives through past and present. The past is dragging for me. Hopefully it will liven up.

This one had lots of hype, so I'm being hopeful that it gets better. There's a LOT of backstory happening so far. Only two mundane things have happened to the mc in the present. Two. Something has to happen soon, or I'm quitting. Also, the mc has a drug addiction, and I'm struggling to connect with her.

Very engaging and easy to read. Mr. Grann is a master of narrative nonfiction. Someone recommended The Killers of the Flower Moon to me long before the movie, and then this book was recommended to me. I'm glad I finally listened and jumped on the Grann-train! I love maritime narratives, so this was a "can't miss" for me.
