A lot of stuff happening but nothing is happening at the same time. Really boring.

This is really dragging despite the fast pace. So much happening and 4 or 5 different plotlines going on. The plot of this one really begs the reader to suspend their disbelief. You're really telling me that Clare moves to DC and gets involved in a story involving the First Family? Come on.

This was great! Loved the cast!

Not exactly book related but I GOT A JOB!!!!! Yes!!!!!

Over the last two days, my Want to Read list here on GR went from 1044 to 513! A great way to start of the New Year! I feel much better about my reading aspirations now. Maybe I'll actually read some of these in 2019!

Looking back on the books I read this year, I discovered that four of them were non-fiction. That's really unusual for me. I rarely, if ever read non-fiction.

So I completed my Reading Challenge for this year and I went to look at the books I read and 25 of the 82 books I read so far this year were manga. For some reason I find that funny.

Will I ever finish this?????

3) I like the majority of the supporting cast though, like Magnus, Blackwood and Hargrove. (There are a LOT of guys in this.)
4) We're constantly told that the setting is Victorian Era England, but it doesn't feel like it. The descriptions in the book are either not there, or extremely superficial. But it is a quick read so far.
I just want to add that these are my thoughts at this point in the book.

I wasn't going to put that I'm reading this until after I'd finished, but I feel the need to make my current thoughts known:
1) I'm having trouble connecting to the MC, Henrietta. I started off liking her, but as the story has progressed, I find myself disliking her more and more.
2) Her relationship with Rook makes me uncomfortable. It borders on possessive. From her end, anyway.

Hamlet is adorable.

I'll be honest, so far I don't like this as much as Goo's previous novels. Clara is very self-centered and judgmental. And very narcissistic. Hopefully it gets better.

I've hit a slump, but I did read some of this today! Go me!

So far I like it, but I don't understand all the hype. It's a good book, but only decent. My mind isn't blown away. (Don't hate me, guys!)

I have not given up on this. Just taking a break from it.

I'm not really enjoying this. Dystopian is not my favorite genre.

My progress is super slow. I am in such a slump right now, it's no joke.

Not sure how I feel about most of these characters, but I do like Elias.

Got this on a whim from the library. So far it's interesting.

Not bad so far. But not mind blowing either.

P.C. Cast always knows how to disturb the heck out of me. This Dead Eye guy is insane.

Also the dialogue for some of the characters is really juvenile. I can see a lot of the problems I had with the House of Night series creeping into this already.
