It was hard decision because if he would march with army it would be civil war. He didn't want to do that but when Renius (Pompey's assassin) who disobeyed order to kill Julius, because he favored Julius more than Pompey at the end, told him that he had that order it was obvious that Julius will not give up everything what he did and he decided to march on Rome !

In this finale battle reinforcement came and attacked Caesar from rear but he had reinforcements on that side as well he won the battle but the winner wasn't obvious. Gauls surrendered. He returned for Winter to Ariminium where he got news that Crassus died together with his son in battle against Parthia. Now it was him and Pompey who is left. Pompey was named Dictator and he asked Julius to come alone to Rome.

He burned everything so there is nothing left for Romans. Julius was forced to come back to Gaul and stop this rebellion. Was it bloody and exhausting.
