I keep having to remind myself this is a book by Barbara O’Neal. Has food references and female main characters, but a somewhat more serious tone. Loving it!

Struggling. This is clearly suffering “middle book of trilogy” syndrome. I will say there is no review of book one, you just drop right in and keep going.

I seem to have hit a mid-way slog. Totally unexpected.

DNF - have lost interest.

Slogging through.

DNF at 55%. Current political and health climate leaves me unable to deal with so much sadness and abuse.

Going to suspend listening to this right now. The mores and fussing of the time period are making me impatient.

Listening to the audio book, because of Jan’s review ;)

Was not as enthused as many I know when I read this book years ago. Trying it again as an Audible book, and so far... enjoying it more.

Kind of slow going.
True confession - I've never read Jane Austen. When I started reading this book, I thought I wanted to read Austen. Now I'm not so sure...

THIS is the book that should have been named The Never Ending Story. I read, and read, and read... and move 1%. Please, can we just wrap this up?
