As a medical and history nerd, this book scratches an itch deep in my brain that I forgot existed

DNF, I wanted to like this book. I love historical fiction, and as a Colorado native I wanted to incorporate the state I live into the genre I love, alas this book wasn’t it. The book was not well developed and the author’s writing is rudimentary at best.
