I have not been too much into the book.
So far few points I notice
1) it is kind kiddish fantasy. The clans , djjin daevas all sound immature character.
2) The story of Daevabad and there people looks very similar to things happening in world . 1 tribe reproducing fast and changing dynamics of population being suppressed , fighting back.
3) good amount of time spent on world building . Getting a little dragged .
