Now I jump back into this and some of the hard work begins.

It's not enjoyable to read about a character in distress, especially one who doesn't seem to know she's in distress.

Sharp. Clever. Nice balance of dialogue and narrative. The best part is a female character with strength and chops, both as the protagonist and the---spoiler alert---- star of the show.

It's 2023. This wasn't that long ago!!
It's no different than when they put 1930s women into asylums.

Who is raising boys and men to be different from this?
Who is going to raise women differently?

Read Mariah Carey's book for more misogyny, abuse, silencing, and denial of agency.

I'm not even sure if I can or want to finish this...

I have so problems with the way she terms mental health issues .

I enjoyed it from page one and it's getting better and better and better. Such an enjoyable read, in so many ways.
