I know it’s a cozy monster romance… but I think it might be TOO cozy.

I am two-thirds through this book and the two love interests still have not spoken to each other.

I just felt like people should know.

I find myself reading faster and faster when GR says I’m “behind” on my reading goal… Feels wrong. No reading goal next year, I think.

YEESH Lark is absolutely spoiled for choice with romances. This book is different than I thought it'd be but I like it.

I just wanted something easy and smutty after my recent YA venture. TBH it’s starting off cringe & feels like KR didn’t want to write this book.

That awkward moment when, halfway through the third book of the series, you realize you finally care about some of the characters.

I promised my husband I would read this if he read Fourth Wing. He finished Fourth Wing in a day… and, here we are. 🫠

Another book I stopped reading at 80% (my toxic trait) because I knew it ended in a cliffhanger. Book 3 is out now, so… time to finish. 😂

So far: all of my favorite tropes in one book.

In the last month alone I have read four first-in-series books, loved them, and had no desire to read their sophomoric counterparts. Is this a type of reading slump?

This book is really hard to finish because Lor is so unlikeable. Put it down yesterday after Lor was bullied and slut-shamed, just to be followed by this paragraph:

Tonight could be my opportunity to stand out from the crowd, though. I’m good at this. I know how to use my body to get what I want. I’ve certainly whored myself out countless times for much more insignificant prizes than a crown.
