Ugh, so depressing, not sure if I can finish.

I only read a few chapters because although the background history of the Republican Party in the late 1900’s was interesting, the authors extremely bitter tone was annoying.

She definitely writes for upper middle class parents but many of her insights were helpful. I’d like to see her write a book for teenagers.

“No matter what happens, keep walking. My zayde always said that if the earth is cracking behind you right up to your heels, you put one foot in front of the other. You keep going. Nothing’s as important as moving forward.”

Excellent book, keep the tissues handy.

My goal this year is to read more books by people who come from completely different backgrounds, and beliefs. To see life from a different perspective.
