Yes, it's often juvenile in tone and most (all) jokes, but the serious topics deserve exploration and are getting it.
The idea that the philosopher's stone lets the practitioner get around the rule of equal exchange only because you pay up front, and in enormous amounts -- sure is foreseeable, but still worthwhile.
