She doesn't have enough info yet to determine: 1) If the far knew it was coming. 2) If the far can show normal expressions like fear 3) Whether it was done by a far or by a human with a machine of some sort. *She just stumbled on the evidence that it was Ryodan that has been emptying all of the stores of supplies. He can take them then sell them to people for exorbitant rates

The fae are all free. Humans are now an endangered species. There is no fae King (Unseelie) or fae Queen (Seelie). Two Unseelie Princes are battling for rule over both races.

Jonas and Felix set sail for Mytica. Taran (a Kraeshian rebel originally from Auranos) meets them before their departure. He is Theon's brother and learns from Nic that his father died via accident and that Theon was murdered by Magnus. Taran joins them in their journey, set on avenging his brothers death. He wants to kill Magnus.

Lucia finally sees the truth of Kyan. He is destructive and needs to be stopped. He plan is to destroy all life and create a new, to create the perfect world and the perfect beings. He also plans to release his siblings from the other Kindred Orbs, but has put that off until after he destroys all life and creates new life.

Magnus found Cleo. She had escaped. He tells her he loves her. She says she loves him. They have sex.

A drunken Magnus witnesses Cleo giving a speech to hundreds of Limerians. He's drunk because Cleo upset him, he's falling hard for her and refuses to acknowledge it. Cleo announces the truth of her relationship and marriage to Magnus. She tells the people that she was threatened with death.

The original sorceress was weakened when she was carrying a mortal child. That's what caused her to be able to be killed. Lucia's powers are weakening. LUCIA IS PREGNANT.

Lysandra is dead. Kyan (the fire Kindred) killed her, he was trying to kill Jonas and Lys jumped in the way.

Lucia and Kyan (the fire Kindred) were able to track down Laelia, Lucia's sister who was 3 when Lucia was kidnapped. Their father was the former Chieftain of Paelsia, Hugo Basilius. He lived like a king while his people lived in squalor. He's dead now. (Wasn't he working with King Gaius of Limeros to build the big road? Was it Jonas that killed him? I don't remember. )

Magnus just struck an alliance with Cleo and Jonas... his plan: Kill his father, take the Limerian throne, give Paelsia back to Jonas and the Paelsian people and give Auranos back to Cleo and her people.

Princess Amara of Kraeshia has gone back home. I don't like what I'm seeing of Kraeshian beliefs.

The book is over and Shadow Wing has not been defeated yet. 1 spirit seal and the kerrastar diamond still need found. Things are still up in the air. I thought this book was supposed to end the Shadow Wing/Spirit Seal story arc...

Loving it so far! Enjoying all the small details. The team riding in on dragons is a great image!

Looks like the trouble has gotten worse since the last book. This is the last in the Shadow Wing story-arc (and the last being put out by this publisher). I hope it ties up the sub-plots from this story arc too, but I'm worries there isn't enough book...

Leave it to Richard to climb on top of Jit's house to save Kahlan. There's a reason he's the Seeker, y'all.

Hannis Arc (the villain) has a woman that people fear. A woman in red leather. He has a a fucking mord-sith. Is it Constance?

So, this is actually book 13 if you count both parts of the series as a whole (1-11: Sword Of Truth and 12 happening 1000 years later while setting up the next story arc, then 13+: Richard And Kahlan, which continues right on the heels of book 11).

Loving the book. Glad to see Rafe/Valdez, he's been my favorite character since book 1. Aggie is still annoying.

Finished. Alex can't go to the other world, since he has no spark of the gift, the gateway will kill him. After Jax goes home to tie up some loose ends she agreed to come back, marry Alex and live in this world.

Jax Amnell. She's an Amnell. And her and Alexander Rahl are in love.
Theory 1: Richard and Kahlan changed their names to Amnell and "vanished". Jax would be their decedent and since she has the gift she could potentially be the current Lord Rahl under a different title. Alex is the decedent of Tom and Jensen (Remember: Tom took her last name so the Rahl line could continue.)

Jax just said that at a young age she studied and practiced to kill people. Could she be mord-sith or trained by mord-sith? I thought there wouldn't be anymore thanks to Richard.
