Soo boring so far... an anonymous family doing general stuff....

I read the two Hugo Award nominees - "Seeds of Mercury" by Wang Jinkang and "Life Does Not Allow Us to Meet” by He Xi. Both novelettes are by far the most "science fictional" of the 2024 nominees. 4* for "Seeds of Mercury" (5 if only the ending) (I still hope it wins) and 2, maybe 3, for "Life Does Not...". Both feature science, technology, and spaceships. And more.

Hated "bășică" instead of "minge de fotbal", many of the dreams (italics) and the chapters about the actual pass, which smell of hipoxia

About 50% in... considering not finishing, even though it's a very smart and well-informed book, one that I agree with in both subject and proposed means of fighting ecological failure... I miss good-old-(likable)-characters...
"Not profit, but biosphere health, should be the function solved for" YES
