No clue what the plot is, but I'm enjoying reading about Lehane's characters and their interactions. Also parts of the book take place in the South Shore (where Mom was from) and near the five colleges (where Dad was from) and a bit (an hour down 91 where I'm from, well I'm 40 minutes south).

haven't actually gotten this 561 page book yet. starting bookclub early.

Book club this month. Finished in half a week.

I have yelled at this tweener more than any other wrestler. Some start with "F him up, Dragon" other times it's "F You, Dragon" and I'd rarely know until his ring entrance. I hope this talks about his time in ROH and the inde circuit.

It's about a guy who gets ALS. That's Lou Gehrig's Disease, or the reason for the Ice Bucket Challenge.

I entered to win this to find out why/how/how to justify a moral code without "higher authority" This philosophy book might have some answers. I can imagine my college Philosophy Professors leading a class in this book from what I've skimmed.

I'll never be able to talk to anybody named Fluck ever again.

Around page 200 the gossip turned to guy talk. That's closer to what I was expecting.

It's gossip.
No mention of the Muppets, I scoured the pages with Lew Grade and Michael Caine, but no mention of The Muppets.

Chapter 3 got a lot more technical.

So Horowitz's solution for diagnosing co-infections is wonderful. It's like he grabbed the medical community by the neck, shook it like you don't shake children, made eye contact, and said with all the condescention and contept of a middle schooler "Duh" with many added syllables for emphasis.

A dooieeaaaaahuh!

There seems to be compassion in this book about Lyme Disease. So I assume it's fiction.

2 chapters down, 70 or so to go.

1% in and I like it. It's like a history of Magic in the UK. Seems to take place in the early 19th Century.

I was in a better mood for this a few days ago.

I'm flipping through this one reading bits at random. Bits become full chapters.

The last 150 pages were great. I tore through those in a morning before work.

This is getting harder to get through. I might put it down. I've never done that with a Christopher Moore book.

No longer focusing on the impressionists, the book now focused on the main character and possible the debbil.

I'm loving this book, a buddy downsold it to me and I'm glad. 3rd fav Moore book so far.

I'm tearing through this. By page 11 I decided that I liked this a lot. First third read in two days.

It's been a bit streaky. Started slow, but the last 100 pages have been great. Still no ideas about the clocks in the title.

I love this series of the oldie detectives for London's "Peculiar Crimes Unit"

I tried to win this, didn't, wish I did because then the last few Firstreads books I've won wouldn't have bad reviews. This book is great, Although the $15ish cover price needs adjustment for the highliter I need to buy.

This was recommended by a Goodreads dropout. It reads like an average Steven King book from when King was good. There's some weird cultural stuff being that this is very-European

I'm not sure if I'm gonna stick with this. It seems like a series of related adventures and not a book.
