While the writing style is engaging and witty, I’m having trouble with some problematic plot points. Characters are made out to be caricatures, and several serious topics are not handled particularly well (substance abuse, economic disparities, misogynistic behavior, etc.). Some things can come down to character development, but there’s going to need to be a good resolution.
