My annual reread has past Winter Solstice and now in party planning mode for tomorrow.

Yes, I read Soulless last summer for my Great 2024 Parasolverse Reread, but Fictional Hangover https://fictionalhangover.podbean.com/ is bringing back Vampire Book Club. And I will always happily read Gail Carriger!

With Ann Cleeves has announcing the return of Jimmy Perez, in The Killing Stones to be set in Orkney on October 7. I thought I'd reread Shetland. Last time I read was 2022, just enough time for me to kind of remember who killer was but not exactly.

It is here and oh so beautiful! Immediately sat down to look through. I read January Chapter. I will be reading month by month.

After finishing the horribly depressing Mrs Palfrey at the Claremont, I needed a book with older people who haven't given up on life.

Reading a Jane Austen's Juvenilia Volume 1. The Beautiful Cassandra was my favorite. Because if given a beautiful bonnet one must set off on a grand escapade. 👒

Here we are on January 3rd and Goodreads still has not updated Last Review of 2024 Year in Books. Every year this is a problem. Which is why I posted my last review on December 30th. Thought that would give enough time to update. I like to post my Year in Books to Facebook on December 31st. Ended up using my Storygraph stats.

I've had a lot of Readalongs I started in January of this year. Didn't put them in my Currently Reading until now. Just so my shelf was so clogged. But they will start winding down in December.

I've been watching Cecilia's YouTube for awhile. I've flipped through and looked at pictures. And of course I read Grim's Chapter! I'm going to read as Cecilia experienced it . Read the Introduction up to when she first arrived in November. Will be fun to read seasonally through Polar Night, Pastel Winter, Sunny Winter, Polar Day, and Golden Autumn.

Note to self: Better to read this Chapter rather than listen. That way you can skim over the cleaning of the grouse. 🤢
