As always, you have to love those contradictory character descriptions. I love you Charlotte, but why must you confuse me with all these details? I'm wondering how Madame Beck can be both kind, and completely emotionally detached- and "dumpy" but somehow manage to dress well enough to maintain the respect of the pupils at her school.
