The author also talks about how most elephants are no longer born with tusks due to excessive hunting by humans. Sad and scary.

Why can’t we have a nice story about a quest going smoothly and people getting their happily ever after

Things are so hopefully optimistic right now that I’m certain something bad is about to happen soon

So far: slowburn, childhood bestfriends, found family, humor and interesting world building.
I’m really enjoying this
