I grew to dislike Hobb's most recent books, but the story included in this book is magical. I might just give her another go.

So far, its pretty good, but then again I've read too many similar books. So I hope something will catch my eye before I get bored, not due to any lack in the narrative, but out of theme-exhaustion from my side.

This is a rather long book, and of course having been written over a thousand years ago, the style is tricky. But it's interesting!

I'm unsure if I can get past the high fantasy cliches and enjoy the book. I will give it a few more pages.

This is going to take a while... So far, the first texts are readable, but as Im familiar with them and they don't help my research, I'm impatient. But Eisenstein has a little corner in my heart. Not so sure about Bazin.

I haven't read this book but I love it, because its film adaptation is one of my all-time favorites. I adore every second of it. And this is even better.
